"6th October 1909. I visited Brancepeth Churchyard today. Saw my Grandfather's tombstone. It is in the yard at the south east side of the church near the Russell vault.
The following is the inscription:
Sacred in memory of John Stonehouse of Page Bank. Who died Sept 15th 1848 aged 63 years.
Jane, daughter of the above died June 27 1849 aged 24 years.
Also of William Stonehouse son of the above, who departed this life on the 9th day of January 1853 aged 38 years." Written by Frederick Robson in his notes on the Jackson family.

Well after a discussion with two uncles and a little research I have linked our branch with the StonehouseThomas at the end of your tree.Thomas Stonehouse born 1842 married Elizabeth Greenwell (I have the Greenwell Family bible (John and Mary of Thornton Hall) they had 12 childern 7boys. I have located but not contacted another person who has covered this branch.
Thomas and Elizabeth Stonehouse, according to the 1881 Census lived at Hospital Farm, Greatham. They had the following family:

John Greenwell Stonehouse October 2 1872 (my mothers adopted father) married Presila Watson (Greatham, Lived at Marsh House Farm)
Mary Elizabeth Stonehouse Oct 16 1873
Thomas Willam Stonehouse March 26 1880 Married (Aunt Elsie)
James Arthur Stonehouse March 11 1883 ( my Grandfather) he married Minnie Teresa Musgrave, (my grandmother) Embeldon Farm Wyngate,
Albert Stonehouse 1918?(deceased) married Olive (deceased) one son John, (Book on Wynyard, has info on Woodside and Annegate Farms worked by Albert)
Florance Mary Stonehouse 1919 Born Borrows Green Farm Easby Great Ayton, farm is just below Captain Cooks Monument (deceased1996) married Richard Thomas Flack (deceased 1992)two sons John Richard and Alan
Rita Stonehouse (deceased 1994-5?) married William Bellerby three sons, George, Kenneth and David.
This give you a quick run down of what I have found, I also obtained some photographs of a number of these people, including Elizabeth Greenwell. I still have to sort out all the photos make copies and scan them. Let me know if you would be interested.
I would like to ask what program did you use to store the family tree? I have not started yet even though I have registered with a couple of on line sites.
